The Opera House sails become a canvas, the Royal Botanic Garden fills with glowing installations, and light walks thread from Circular Quay to Darling Harbour and beyond. The free Light Walk is the heart of it — kilometres of illuminated sculptures, projections and interactive works you wander after dark. Alongside runs a ticketed program of music (Vivid Music) and talks (Vivid Ideas). Weeknights are far calmer than weekends; arrive at dusk as the lights switch on around 6pm.
