Few farm-stay settings in NSW beat this one: green dairy country rolling off the flanks of Gulaga (Mount Dromedary), with the heritage village of Tilba Tilba at the gate and the Sapphire Coast’s coves ten minutes down the hill. Mountain View Farm hosts stays, retreats and events on this ground, and its Google rating — among the highest of any farm stay on the coast — suggests guests leave converted.

The setting
The Tilba district is one of the most intact heritage landscapes in Australia — National Trust-listed villages of timber shopfronts, famous cheese, and farmland that has looked this way for a century. Gulaga rises 800 metres behind the farm, sacred to the Yuin people and walkable via a rainforest track from Tilba Tilba itself.
Around the farm
Mystery Bay’s rocky coves are the nearest swim, Narooma’s bar beach and oyster sheds are 15 minutes north, and the drive south to Bermagui runs through more postcard dairy country. This corner of the coast stays quiet even in January.
