Deni Ute Muster, Deniliquin

Deni Ute Muster, Deniliquin

Two days of country music, ute competitions and record-breaking crowds on the Riverina plains — one of regional Australia's biggest bush festivals.

Family

Every October, the Riverina town of Deniliquin swells as tens of thousands descend for the Deni Ute Muster — a joyously over-the-top celebration of country music, utes and bush culture that once set the Guinness record for the most utes in one place. The 2026 event runs 2–3 October 2026 at the Deniliquin Festival Site.

What happens

Two big nights of live country and rock headliners (2026 is led by Tones and I with Lee Kernaghan and more), plus a day program of ute competitions, whip-cracking, the iconic “Circle Work” arena, bull riding, market stalls and enough akubras to blot out the sun. Camping on-site from the Thursday makes it a full long-weekend affair.

Getting there

Deniliquin is in the far south-west Riverina, about 3 hours from Melbourne and a longer haul from Sydney — most visitors camp. Tickets and camping sell through the official site and go early. It pairs with an outback-Riverina road trip and the wide skies of the outback west.
