The Woolshed cabins wear the Kanimbla Valley’s farm vernacular — corrugated iron, timber, water tanks — while the escarpment glows red behind them at dusk. A newer, small operation, it holds a perfect 5.0 from its first Google reviewers.

The stay
Cabins are shearing-shed outside and snug inside: attic beds, wood heaters, decks with barbecues facing the cliffs. Nights out here belong to frogs, boobook owls and an unreasonable number of stars.
Around Kanimbla
You share the valley with Mt Kanimbla’s luxury cabins and not much else; Blackheath’s cafes and the Grose Valley lookouts are about 30 minutes back over Shipley Plateau.
