The setting
Stokers Siding is a hamlet of cane flats and rainforest ridges south of Murwillumbah, in country so lush it reads tropical. The whole valley is ringed by World Heritage Gondwana rainforest ranges — Border Ranges, Nightcap and Springbrook all within day-trip range.
Around the farm
Murwillumbah’s art-deco main street and the Tweed Regional Gallery (home of the Margaret Olley recreation) are 15 minutes away. Head east for the Tweed coast’s uncrowded beaches at Cabarita and Kingscliff, or south over the hills to Minyon Falls and Byron Bay.
